Comment / Air Southwest have just recently started a new route to Newcastle with their Dash 8s, routing from Newquay via Plymouth. G-WOWD is one of five aircraft in the Air Southwest fleet.

Comment / It's 0728 and G-CELX rolls on to runway 25 for her first flight of the day. No, not quite! Each night, the two based Jet2 Boeing 737 Quick Change aircraft are employed on mail flights from Newcastle to London Stansted and East Midlands, departing late in the evening and arriving back in the early hours.

Comment / Arriving as Sunwings 9010, this Eurocypria 737 passed through Dublin and Newcastle last week on her way back to Larnaca, after a winter season based in Canada. Although she was still wearing her Canadian registration, I expect she's now reverted to her normal registration of 5B-DBX.

Comment / It's UEFA Cup Final day at Manchester, and as G-BNWC approaches runway 05L at 0556 inbound from JFK, there are already tens of photographers lining up on the south side! Sadly, it was recently announced that BA's Manchester to New York JFK service - it's last remaining route outside of London - will end at the close of this year's summer season.
