Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / It's quite a challenge to get your levels right from the Railway Station observation deck at Dusseldorf, with the horizon, runways and taxiways all appearing to run at different perspectives!
Lufthansa Regional (opb Eurowings)
Bombardier CRJ-200ER
D-ACRI (cn 7862)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / The CRJs and ATRs of Lufthansa Regional are the same to Dusseldorf as Ryanair Boeing 737-800s are to Stansted, or British Airways Airbus A32Xs are to Heathrow!

D-ABBN (cn 30293/1496)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / D-ABBN taxis out for a runway 23L departure having arrived from London Stansted only half an hour earlier with myself onboard. Note the Lufthansa Regional ATR-72 on short finals for 23R.
LTU
Airbus A330-223
D-ALPH (cn 739)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / D-ALPH is the youngest A330 in the LTU fleet, delivered from Toulouse on 12th April 2006.

SE-DIF (cn 49606/1569)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / The terminal roof terrace also offers some great views of the ramp at Dusseldorf. Here MD-87 SE-DIF taxis in after landing on runway 23R, with a KLM Cityhopper F50 about to do exactly the same.
DBA
Boeing 737-329
D-ADII (cn 23775/1412)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / This Boeing 737 previously served across the border in Belgium, joining Sobelair as OO-SBZ in July 1987. Photo taken at mid-afternoon from the observation deck at the Railway Station.
Loftleidir Icelandic
Boeing 757-225
TF-LLZ (cn 22691/155)
12th September 2006
Manchester Ringway Airport (MAN)
Comment / This Boeing 757 is a relatively new addition for Loftleidir Icelandic, joining the fleet from US Airways earlier in May this year. Previously she flew with America West Airlines as N907AW and was painted up for a spell, you may remember, in the purple Phoenix Suns basketball team scheme. Here she is rotating away from runway 24L at Manchester operating the Monarch 532 to Palma de Mallorca.
Star Airlines
Airbus A330-243
F-GRSQ (cn 501)
12th September 2006
Manchester Ringway Airport (MAN)
Comment / Having missed the Star Airlines A330 operating for easyJet out of Stansted a few weeks ago, it was good to catch F-GRSQ filling in for an Excel Airways charter up at Manchester.
Qatar Airways
Airbus A330-302
A7-AEE (cn 711)
12th September 2006
Manchester Ringway Airport (MAN)
Comment / The Qatar A330s painted up to celebrate the 2006 Asian Games in Doha are becoming old news now, but nevertheless, this was my first glimpse of the colourful schemes - certainly a welcome contrast to the murky weather! A7-AEE is seen here lifting away from Manchester's runway 24L.
Delta Air Lines
Boeing 767-432ER
N832MH (cn 29704/807)
12th September 2006
Manchester Ringway Airport (MAN)
SAS Scandinavian Airlines
Airbus A319-131
OY-KBO (cn 2850)
6th September 2006
Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS)
Comment / It was great to see the SAS retro A319, OY-KBO, at Dusseldorf, painted as such to celebrate the airline's 60th anniversary and named Christian Valdemar Viking. She is the first of four A319s on order with Airbus, and appears at present to route to Dusseldorf from Copenhagen on a regular basis.

Comment / This Boeing 737-800 was delivered as a brand new airframe to Pegasus in March 1999, but has also spent time leased to Air Algerie (1999-2001) and Myanmar Airways (2003-2004).
