Comment / Two Boeing 767s in this one - N828MH pushes back for her flight back to New York JFK as OY-SRK of Star Air sits parked up in the distance, waiting for freighter duties later in the day.

Comment / This A320 was on the ground for the duration of my time at Shannon, and is seen here being towed to a remote stand on one of the airfield's disused runways. Previously 6Y-JMF of Air Jamaica.

Comment / Shannon handles a fair amount of transatlantic flights, primarily as a result of long standing bilateral agreements aimed at holding on to traffic at the airport, which would otherwise prefer to route straight to and from Dublin. As a result, at present 50% of services between the USA and Ireland must stopover at Shannon, although motions are in place to relax this arrangement over the next two years.
