Comment / Turkish seem to have upgraded their daily Istanbul to Stansted service from a Boeing 737-800 to an Airbus A321 for the summer. Hopefully that's a sign that the route is performing well. Comment / TC-JGM is a relatively new Boeing 737-800 for Turkish Airlines, delivered on May 16th 2006. She is seen here arriving on runway 23 on her very first visit to Stansted.

Comment / Good to be back around Stansted again, and to see the Turkish Airlines route to Istanbul now bumped up to a daily service. Boeing 737-800 TC-JGD shows some signs of wear and tear here as she climbs away from runway 23 on her way back to Turkey. Two weeks later, on the 13th January 2007, this aircraft slid off the runway in icy conditions at Oslo, thankfully with no injuries to those on board.
