Comment / OH-BLC is the second MD-90 to join Blue1, transferring over from SAS where she previously flew as LN-ROA. A third MD-90 will join the fleet before the end of the summer.

Comment / Blue 1's first MD-90 was painted up into the airline's full colours during mid-June, and has been seen operating a number of flights to Stansted in recent days. OH-BLU is an ex. SAS airframe, originally delivered at OY-KIL.

London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / OH-SAP is one of seven Avro RJ-85s serving with Blue1 and has the distinct but sad honour of being the very last Avro RJ/BAe 146 built, and indeed the very last commercial airliner to roll off a British production line. First flying in 2002 as G-CBMH and registered to BAE Systems (Operations), E2394 was initially stored at both Woodford and Filton before joining Blue1 on 26th November 2003.

Comment / Despite launching a twice daily Stansted to Helsinki route last year, Blue1 now only fly an evening rotation. I can vouch for a good service on board; I flew on this RJ85 on the route last summer.
