Comment / Unlike some of Air Berlin's early A319s (which were acquired second-hand from Independence Air), D-ABGE was delivered brand new from Airbus, and as such was built to the carrier's high-density spec with two exits over the wing. She's seen here taxiing to Manchester's runway 05L.

Comment / After some persistent rumours, it seems that Air Berlin are indeed not continuing their domestic services from Stansted into the winter season. Perhaps existing competition and the recent hike in Stansted landing fees have taken their toll? This Boeing 737-300 is another ex. DBA aircraft now in Air Berlin colours. Note the stripes above and below the window line...

Comment / Air Berlin can't seem to get their hands on enough Boeing 737s at the moment, whether factory fresh or second hand. D-ABBU was delivered on July 3rd, previously with Air Astana as P4-BAS.

Comment / It shall be sad to see these classic maroon Air Berlin colours replaced. A new Boeing 737 series -800 has just been delivered wearing a red, revised scheme based upon LTU's new livery.

Comment / D-ABBV is Air Berlin's latest Boeing 737-700, joining the fleet from Air Astana (ex. P4-CAS) and Sun Country (ex. N710SY). She's seen here arriving on runway 23 at Stansted from Manchester.
